Located near the East entrance to the park, the Yellow Dot was intended initially to draw attention to the dramatic changes ahead on the Golden Mile. Since its debut, however, the area has become a literal and figurative bright spot, a guest favorite for lounging, reading, homework and acoustic guitar serenades.
Anchored by the oversized Chaise of Praise (only kind words for others can be uttered from the chair), the Yellow Dot is not only a space of relaxation, but it has also evolved into a “book nook.” With supreme assistance from Alec Hawley and Green Apple Books, the space regularly houses reams of children’s books and you’ll frequently hear stories being read aloud to children.
The Yellow Dot is currently undergoing a refresh, with a new coat of yellow paint, new trees and plants, and nine new planters.
Your own Golden Mile oasis.
